Not long now, the wait is almost over... I am sure everyone is excited about playing our beloved game again and getting back on the course.

The Masters is only a few weeks away now which in the profession is the unofficial start to the golfing year, and with that in mind I will be running the Pro Shop Masters Sweepstake. I will be charging £5 a ticket which gets you a player in the Masters, the top four players will win prizes from the pro shop.

Making the highlight reel

40-year-old Australian Matt Jones claimed victory at The Honda Classic on the beautiful-but-challenging PGA National golf course, with Denmark’s Sebastian Cappelen going shirtless for a watery chip before Wesley Bryan removed shoes and trousers for a couple of shots. That’s one way to make the highlight reel!

On the European Tour, Justin Harding proved the importance of avoiding errors as he went bogey-free in the final round to win the Magical Kenya Open. Sure, he did have a few birdies and an eagle on the day, but it was the bogey avoidance that saw him reign supreme.

You probably think of your trolley as just a handy way to take the weight of a full golf bag off your shoulders as you walk the course (which it is), but nowadays your trolley can also take a huge weight off your mind as you play.

New Motocaddy GPS trolleys

Last year marked a significant upgrade in the world of GPS electric trolleys, and this year is set to follow suit.

To begin with, Motocaddy has added GPS technology to its highly popular M3 model for the first time! As the screen below shows, you will be able to view key yardages to the green at the quickest of glances.

1-iron or hybrid?
